Every Prime Roots cut is made without the nine major allergens: no soy, wheat, dairy, egg, peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, fish or shellfish. That is rare in plant-based meat, where soy and wheat gluten usually do the heavy lifting. Ours is built from whole-food fungi protein instead, so school lunches, family tables and allergy-conscious kitchens can all share the same sandwich.

Our fungi are grown, not engineered. Nothing in a Prime Roots cut comes from a genetically modified organism: not the protein, not the oils, not the seasonings. We grow whole-food fungi the way mushrooms have always grown, then season and slice them. Non-GMO ingredients from start to finish.

Conventional deli meat is cured with nitrates and nitrites, or with celery salt that does the same job under a friendlier name. Prime Roots uses neither. Zero added nitrates from any source, natural or synthetic, and no curing salts hiding as “natural flavor”. The color and the seasoning come from real spices, not a cure.

Most plant-based meats start with protein extracted from soy or peas and pushed through an extruder. Prime Roots starts with the whole food: fungi mycelium, grown and harvested intact, fiber and micronutrients included. That is why our protein scores 0.996 on the PDCAAS digestibility scale, above chicken, beef, soy and pea. Complete protein, highly digestible, from a real food.
